Welding head: a resonant metal bar, usually half wavelength, which uniformly applies pressure and vibration to the parts to be welded. The shape of the welding head determines the amplitude of the end face of the welding head. According to different welding applications, welding head materials are divided into titanium alloy, aviation aluminum and alloy steel.

 

Titanium alloy is the best material for welding head because of its high strength and low loss.

Aluminum welding head is usually reduced by chromium plating, nickel plating, hard coating and other processes.

Steel welding head is suitable for low amplitude applications such as socket welding which require hardness.
