Ultrasonic transducers are all types of devices that transmit and receive ultrasonic waves. Various types of transducers can be used according to their operating environment, operating frequency, required power, and different uses.
Ultrasonic transducers are all types of devices that transmit and receive ultrasonic waves. As far as transducer principle is concerned, some ultrasonic transducers utilize the physical effects of transducer materials, such as piezoelectric effect, magnetostriction, electrostriction and so on; others utilize the electrodynamic effects of transducer structures, such as electromagnetic effect and electrostatic effect; some utilize the vortex vibration of fluid injection and the resonance and modulation of structures. In addition, according to the transducer operating environment, frequency, power requirements, different uses, etc., can be used in a variety of structural forms.
 
The ultrasonic transducer will be heated when used, which is mainly caused by three reasons. One is that the welded workpiece will be heated or the ultrasonic material will be heated, or the mold (tool head), horn long-term work will be heated, these heat will be transferred to the transducer. The second is the power loss of the transducer itself. Since the energy conversion efficiency can not be 100%, the loss of that part of the energy must be converted into heat ultrasonic transducer. Temperature rise will lead to the change of ultrasonic transducer parameters, and gradually shift to the best matching state. What is more serious is that temperature rise will lead to the deterioration of piezoelectric ceramic wafer performance. This in turn makes the ultrasonic transducer work worse and warms up faster, which is a vicious cycle. Therefore, we must give the ultrasonic transducer good cooling conditions, generally at room temperature air cooling; if necessary, can also use cold air cooling. Under normal conditions, the temperature rise caused by these two points is also normal, under normal cooling conditions, there will be no major problems.
